 l education teacher for the 2021-2022 school year to join our physical edu
 cation teaching team.\n\nWorking collaboratively\, Rossman’s two physical 
 education teachers plan and teach skill development and application\, phys
 ical fitness\, sportsmanship\, and athletics. Based on a spiraling curricu
 lum\, developmentally appropriate skills are introduced and practiced thro
 ughout the Lower School (pre-Kindergarten through second grade). These ski
 lls are then applied in the context of games and sports in the Upper Schoo
 l (third through sixth grade). Emphasis is placed on the importance of mai
 ntaining physical fitness and the impact this has on one’s ability to part
 icipate in athletic pursuits. Sportsmanship is a core component of Rossman
 ’s physical education program and supports the school’s four key values of
  kindness\, honesty\, respect and responsibility. Exposure to a variety of
  athletic units in the Upper School builds students’ confidence and prepar
 es them for athletics in secondary school.\n\nThe physical education team 
 has daily contact with every student in the school. They also plan and car
 ry out the curriculum for Rossman’s Afterschool Sports Program. This progr
 am includes after school “practices” as well as games and tournaments with
  other schools. Additionally\, the physical education team leads fun commu
 nity sports events\, including Field Day\, Spirit Day and Jump Rope and Ho
 ops for Heart.\n\nThe ideal candidate for this position will have experien
 ce teaching school-age children. He/She will be committed to collaborative
  team-teaching\, designing effective\, challenging curricula for students\
 , differentiating activities for all skill levels and evaluating student p
 rogress. He/She will possess a strong work ethic\, a love of teaching\, an
 d the ability to effectively interact with parents and colleagues. He/She 
 must exhibit adaptability\, creativity\, and an overall commitment to a ch
 ild’s physical and social growth. Experience in an independent school is n
